Why The Poor (Part 1)

How should a follower of Jesus, a church leader, or local church community serve and generously give to the poor, especially as we are faced with so many human needs locally and globally? What is a follower of Jesus or a leader or a local church’s priority when it comes to the needy?  In this four part podcast series entitled “ Why The Poor?”, Pastor Bob addresses why the poor matter to God, the need to be aware of how people suffer locally and globally around the world, what the Bible teaches concerning serving the needs of the poor, the history of The Church in caring for those who have no one who watches out for their needs, and how to practically fulfill the mandate to care for the poor with limited resources. If every believer, local church, and mission agency can do something, much can be accomplished in relieving suffering.
